Is Referral or Multi Level Marketing a fair and honest business? What isn't understood is often feared or doubted and such has been the case with the Referral or Multi Level Marketing business. Referral or Multi Level Marketing is simply a direct sales approach different to that of conventional selling. Does it involve door-to-door sales? Some do that, but it is the least effective approach! Instead of a few people selling large quantities of products, many people sell small quantities with a resultant movement of products that is far greater than that produced through more conventional sales approaches. Indeed, Referral or Multi Level Marketing is one of the fairest and most responsible of all businesses. There is usually no age barrier, educational qualification, race and sex bias in the Referral or Multi Level Marketing business. We all have an equal opportunity to succeed by building our own Referral or Multi Level Marketing businesses in the sales of products to our customers from the manufacturer we represent. This is done by sponsoring (recruiting) and then developing the people we know into our business networks as product associates. We derive our income from the manufacturer's profit base in the form of over-riding commissions and bonuses based on the collective products sales of our networks which can move large quantities of products even though individuals may move small amounts each. There is also no necessity to stock and deliver products since most Referral or Multi Level Marketing companies today allow its associates (and often even retail customers) to order direct from the company. The company simultaneously tracks your commissions, credits your account, and automatically sends you a check for the total amount due. delivers quality products which usually carry 100% guarantee, on time and in the form
promised. Like all businesses, there have been some companies that were less reputable
than others. This alone should not make the delivery system dishonest anymore than a
dishonest retailer would make the retailing system questionable. If the buyer's need is
satisfied with the quality and pricing of the product and the service rendered by the
Network Marketer, then there is no reason to find fault with the delivery system.
Is Referral or Multi Level Marketing a business where income is earned for recruiting? All businesses including Referral or Multi Level Marketing can only survive by exchanging their products and services for customers' dollars. No ethical or legitimate Referral or Multi Level Marketing company compensates its associates for the act of recruiting alone. I prefer the term sponsoring over recruiting because to recruit is merely to enlist whilst to sponsor does imply accepting a degree of responsibility for the person concerned. This responsibility is that of teaching - and teaching to teach the business of Referral or Multi Level Marketing. In Referral or Multi Level Marketing, we are paid only on the products we sell and we earn commissions on the sales generated within our own Referral or Multi Level Marketing organization. The world is our client base. For example, think of all the "warm" prospects we have with other children's parents, school personnel, or church acquaintances. We don't have to be annoying. We can simply share a product success or drop a hint during a normal conversation. The best sales tool is our own success. Or perhaps you just want to take a nice long vacation? Whatever the case, you could lose most if not all of your income overnight because it relies on you being there. That's not owning your own life and that's certainly not financial freedom. Through the process of sponsoring and building a downline in Referral or Multi Level Marketing, however, you can create total financial freedom for yourself. With a downline of independent business people working for you, you no longer have all your eggs in one basket. On the contrary, because each person in your downline has a vested interest in continuing and building their own businesses, you create an income that is non-dependent upon you - an income that can continue, even grow, indefinitely with or WITHOUT you. Referral or Multi Level Marketing allows each of us to leverage our team members efforts for our own financial gain. Yet, we do not have the hassle, liability and other problems associated with having employees. If our family schedule will not allow us to devote normal working hours to the business, but we feel it is critical to contact a prospect base that only operates from 9 to 5, then recruit someone who can work those hours. If we feel our business would be best built on door to door sales, we can find someone who enjoys this and sponsor them into our company. Think of ourselves as the coach, not the quarterback of the team. We don't even have to be out on the field. This way, we can still be building our business through our team members' sales efforts, while we are home, managing the business. Why is Referral or Multi Level Marketing not taught in schools or universities? An example of a legal pyramid scheme is Social Security - paying out benefits earned yesterday to recipients today with tomorrow's money. In both cases, as long as money continues to come in, it can be paid out. However, when the income stream stops, the out-go does, too - and from then on people lose. Referral or Multi Level Marketing is like neither of these. In 1979, Referral or Multi Level Marketing was proclaimed a legal and viable method of distribution and sales in the U.S. courts (FTC versus Amway, 1979). Rules and Good Business Practice guidelines were established and all legitimates Networking companies adhere to these standards and practices. Despite the confusion, Referral or Multi Level Marketing is NOT a
pyramid scheme that allows few at the top to get richer at the expense of the many at the
bottom. In Referral or Multi Level Marketing, each person can move as far as his or her drive,

advance to the very highest income levels and even make more money than those above you in
the network.
Is Referral or Multi Level Marketing a "Get-Rich-Quick" Scheme? There are examples of people who have "hit the jackpot" in Referral or Multi Level Marketing just by being in the right place at the right time - but they are rare. More common are examples of industrious men and women who have grown successful full- or part-time home based businesses through consistent efforts and years of persistence. How to stay on course in this business? A normal reaction on first encountering Referral or
Multi Level Marketing is one of skepticism. There will always be some people who didn't like

So, we tend to waver and deviate from our course when we allow our dreams to be 'stolen' by well meaning friends and relatives and for our own negativism to set in. Here are some examples: "How can you get rich so quickly? Forget it." - They are right you know. This is a business opportunity that requires work and time. "You won't have enough time to do this, not with your current job." - We make time for what we want. We set goals, and we find ways to meet them. "I wouldn't take advantage of my friends." - Neither would you. Telling them about any opportunity is not taking advantage, whereas giving them false information or pressing them to come in would be. They have the right and obligation to make their own decisions about what works for them. It is even harder to ignore the negativism when it
is couched as concern - "I'm only saying this because I love you and don't want
to see you get hurt...".
If they won't, remember that since you are
ultimately responsible for your family's livelihood, the decision is up to you, not those
who have no vested interested in your family's welfare. If you take stock of yourself and
your personal assets, you will realize that others can't deter you with criticism, with
laughter, or even mockery - unless you join them. To succeed in Referral or Multi Level
